YAY! I’m so glad Toronto is getting beautiful, warm weather this week! I don’t know about you, but when it’s 30 degrees out, I WANT SOMETHING COLD IN MY HANDS! One of my favourite summertime drink is this MINT WATERMELON SMOOTHIE! It will keep you feeling cool and refreshed! Best part? It takes 5 minutes to make!
Ingredients:
Servings: 2
- 2 cups (frozen) watermelon
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon flax seeds
- 1 wedge lime
- 1-2 fresh mint
When I buy a watermelon, I like to cut it into cubes and place half of it in the fridge to munch on as a snack. I LOVE WATERMELONS! I store the rest in Tupperware, in the freezer. Frozen watermelon make awesome smoothies since it acts as ice and there are a lot of water that comes out of watermelon. If you haven’t frozen any watermelon you can add ice cubes instead.
Just add all the ingredients to a blender and blend away! A drop of lime is all you need for this drink.
Watermelon alone is already cool and refreshing. BUT with mint and lime, it is the ultimate refresher! Do your body a favour and make yourself a Mint Watermelon Smoothie to stay cool during the summer heat.
