Are you looking for a quick and easy dinner that you can cook in 15 minutes? The best part is you probably have all of these ingredients at home already! I love this recipe because it is healthy and delicious! I did not use any oil or butter!
Ingredients:
Serves: 2
- 2 basa fillets
- 1 egg
- 1 wedge lime
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp all purpose flour
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions:
Add all the ingredients into a bowl to mix, but do not add the lime juice yet.
My fillets were in the freezer so I put them in the refrigerator to thaw over night. Wash the fillets with cold water and use paper towel to dry them. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐ F while you do the next step.
The next part is easy. Just place your fillets onto your baking tray and marinate both sides. Squeeze some lime juice on top of your fillets and then place the tray in the oven at 350ยฐ F for 15 minutes.
Top your Basa Fillets with a bit of freshly minced parsley and squeeze some lime juice and your dinner is ready!

This looks really easy and good!! I’ll have to look for that fish at our local market! Love your blog, we’re following along now ๐ http://www.ourfoodieappetite.com
Thanks so much! Tilapia fillets work too! Let me know how it turns out!
After you wash the fillets you can pour a trickle of milk on both sides to rid them of that underwater “fishy” taste. It’s a trick not many people know about. And I also pour a bit of water in the tray that I use to bake my fillets. Shake it around.
That’s a great idea! I never thought about that! Thanks!! ๐
made this tonight, very tasty and easy AND cheap!

Is it 250F or 350F? You write both above.
350F. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for catching my error. Let me know how it turns out! ๐
Love your recipe!!!!
Thank you so much!!!!
What can be used instead of an egg?
You don’t technically have to use an egg.
I used 1 Tbsp ground flax seed mixed with 3 Tbsp water. Mixed in a bowl and set aside until it โgelledโ. I also added 1 Tbsp olive oil to mix.
Perfect replacement for an egg!
Hi Lisa, can I use lemon instead of lime?
Yes, you can!! ๐
Thanks!!! Cooking it tonight!
Awesome!! Let me know how it goes! ๐

Aww you’re too sweet! ๐
Could you tell me the nutritional info
Tried this tonight. After having some frozen basa fillers and not sure what to do with them. The smell was amazing as it was cooking.
Thank you for sharing
Glad it turned out well! ๐
Turned out great! What a pleasant way to add flavour to an otherwise bland fish. Thank you so much.
I’m so glad it turned out well! ๐
Absolutely amazing! So flavorful and healthy. I used coconut flour instead of all purpose. Delicious!
Yes, coconut flour works amazingly too!!
Am all out of Turmeric, what would recommend to use instead?
Itโs optional to use turmeric. But if you have ginger powder, that would work too! ๐
I’m not a big fish eater but my family loves fish and I always have to make twice the amount of fish. This recipe was so easy and tasty there was definitely no leftovers. I’m always looking for good recipes for fish and this recipe is really 5 star! Thanks so much.
