Want perfect ribs? Use the oven! SERIOUSLY! It is healthier and it will not be burnt! If you have 30 minutes to “spare” please give this recipe a try! I promise you will have the tastiest, most tender ribs ever!
Ingredients:
Serves: 2
- 1 rack baby back pork ribs
- 1 lime wedge
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
Most recipes I saw online cooks the ribs in the oven for about 2 hours at 300° F. However, I am here to help you prepare quick and easy meals. Therefore, my ribs will only take you about 30 minutes to cook. Preheat oven to 250° F.
Instructions:
First, wash and pat dry the ribs with paper towel. For extra tender ribs, make sure to peel the membrane off (the transparent layer at the back of the rib). Then, cut in between each bone. This makes it a lot easier to season and marinate the ribs after.
For even more tender ribs, squeeze lime juice all over the ribs before you add the dry rub. The reason I cut and separated the ribs already is so I can get the dry rub at the front, back, and sides. It makes it A LOT easier! Put the baby back ribs in a baking tray and cover it with tin foil. Increase the oven to 400° F and pop them in for 30 minutes. I just saved you an hour and a half of your time! With the increased temperature, your ribs will turn out super tender thanks to the acid in the lime juice and for removing the membrane.
After 30 minutes add your favourite BBQ or rib sauce and pop it back in the oven to broil for 5 minutes. You no longer need to cover the tray with tin foil anymore. Then, flip them over and marinate the other side of the ribs. Broil for 5 minutes and you’re done! 🙂
I hope you will try baking your ribs in the near future, if you don’t already. It saves you time and it is SOOO TENDER and DELICIOUS!
